In 2024 and again in 2025, Indiana Tech was recognized as a top regional employer by the Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne. In 2024, the university was named a Gold Level Compass Award winner, and was chosen as the inaugural recipient of the Women’s Fund’s Navigator Award. In 2025, the university was received top honors with a silver award. Each year, the Women’s Fund assesses the work being done by area employers to recruit, retain and advance women. Indiana Tech was noted as a top performer in each of the four categories that make up the survey: Leadership, Compensation, Benefits & Policies and Recruitment & Retention.

Electrical engineering professor and chair of Indiana Tech’s ABET-accredited electrical engineering program, Zakariya Al Hamouz, was ranked amongst the top 2% of most influential scientists in the world, based on a 2023 report by researchers at Stanford University. The comprehensive ranking was based on bibliometric data from the expansive Scopus database, which is comprised of more than 210,000 scholars within a global pool of millions of active scientists. The assessment divided scientists into 20 distinct scientific fields and 174 sub-fields, systematically ranking them based on how often their work was cited by other scholars.

NAIA Gold Champions of Character Five-Star Institution

Indiana Tech has been a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Five-Star Institution since the inception of the program in 2002. The recognition symbolizes an institution’s ability to strive for character-driven athletics, while upholding the five core values of the NAIA: integrity, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.
